Theros grins. "Yeah! I fought off some monsters! And I made a deal with Brin! He's gonna get us a sword master to teach us as long as I don't get in trouble for two days!" "First off what kind of monsters? Be as descriptive as possible! And second, you better be extra good because if he can manage to bring in someone who is good with all sorts of blades I would like to meet him too!" "Haha! I knew you would be excited! Oh! And this is Yarrow, my duke of Pages!" She gives Yarrow and friendly slap on the back.

"First off what kind of monsters? Be as descriptive as possible! And second, you better be extra good because if he can manage to bring in someone who is good with all sorts of blades I would like to meet him too!" “Well, there I was, after exploring the tower, Brin leading me down into a dank, dark, cold dungeon. The walls were stone, like the main hall, and every so often a rat” He gestures the size of it, maybe a foot long, “would streak across our path. After we’d gone so deep, I’d lost track of how deep it was, we came to a door this thick” he makes a gesture indicating two feet, “and the room inside… darker than a grave. I walked in. The door slammed behind me, cutting off all light and I started feeling around to see the limits of my cell. As I felt the wall, I realized that further from the door, it wasn’t dank stone, but something else, rough, dry, hard, round layered shapes. I kept feeling along, still curious how deep the cell went and it went on for a long ways. I kept feeling until I felt it move. I jumped back only to back up against something else, so I stood still, and thought maybe it’s a nice giant snake thing so I said ‘hello’ and I heard a rustly scrape sound, and a shift in the air, as it must have been moving in the darkness. ‘hello, little human’ it said, and it was echoed by another voice, ‘yessss, hello.’ ‘wow,’ I said, ‘are you for real?’ ‘Yessss. Are you here to be our friend?’ What could I say? ‘Sure. Why not?’ I sat down and they asked me questions and I talked and talked and began to realize that these monsters, though lonely, wanted me to stay with them forever! No way I’m living in the dark, so I started edging my way to the door, but they gently pushed me back, until suddenly two hours were up, and the door opened with a sword of light that wasn’t actually bright but to my darkness-accustomed eyes, it seemed like a blow, and it was Brin, and the creatures hissed and I made a run for it, but they got their faces in my way, to stop me, so I punched the one like so,” he makes a pair of mock punches, “and it backed off, and I grabbed the other by the nose, and twisted it upside down and used it to protect me from the lunging bites of the punched one as I ran for the door again.” He laughs. “I leapt out of the door, and Brin slammed it to keep the snakes in. I wish I’d had my sword. I asked Brin what those things were, and he just laughed at me. And Yeah, I'll try an be good because I really want that sword master. Brin's scary but I bet he holds to his word."

Theros laughs, "sure but you might not be as lucky as I was! And don't tell them you know me, or they might get angry!"

She pumps her fists while making sound effects. "You would!" He pinches the fork between his two hands and in a weird inverted dolphin-chipmunk like movement, he carefully manoevers a scoop of food to his mouth.

Lan sits there quietly eating his food as the imperials hold their conversation. He needed to learn their language at some point... Aryteneus gets pretty quiet after a while, pushing his food around but obviously no longer hungry. "Do you want to play a game or something Lan? I don't know what. Just an idea."

Or feed my koi fish."
