He eyes the dress again, his lips slightly pursed as though he cannot decide whether to be amused or disturbed. "If you only knew..." He mutters, glancing away looking extremely embarrassed and anxious. "Knew what? I suppose what I'm trying to say Lan is that I don't do well with all this back and forth emotional stuff. If I've done something you disapprove of, I'd rather you be upfront with me about it, and I will be quite honest with you in turn." He folds his hands behind his back, taking a few steps before turning and walking back. "For instance...you had no right to call Eleni anything, regardless of her behavior, and especially if it was out of...disappointment? - that she had refuted your courtship." |

Or could be. She's like my mother though - keeps telling me what to do. I think that's why she was all overbearing tonight. It's what girls do when they get older. You still should not have called her a pig or a boar or whatever it was. She's ninth in line to the imperial throne - they could stone you back home for being such a cad." |
