Lan turns bright red when Fletcher starts changing, and quickly looks away. Fletcher is quite baffled at the embarassment, but says nothing. He wasn't a girl. What was the issue? He shivers a bit and goes to blow out the candles. He could finish his letters later. Lan stumbles in the dark for his.... Night gown... And rushes to get dressed and plops into bed as if the floor was suddenly lava. He starts mutter a prayer before growing quiet.

When Lan begins his prayer, Fletcher joins in. Reciting prayers to Cashemar was a familiar bedtime ritual.

If Lan is awake later in the night he will likely hear muffled sobs from the other side of the room.

Lan smiles when he hears Fletcher praying with him. Sadly Lan is a light sleeper... He frowns at the sobs. He doesn't move for awhile but gets up and goes over to Fletcher's bed and lies next to him. He wraps an arm around him. "Shh... It'll be okay... He won't hurt you... He's passed out drunk again..."

Luckily for Lan, Fletcher is pretty much asleep, or he'd be getting violently shoved on the floor. Lan would likely notice an unusual amount of uneven patches, bumps, and rough spots on Fletcher's body, as though he were covered in scars, bruises, and recently healed wounds.

Lan would likely notice an unusual amount of uneven patches, bumps, and rough spots on Fletcher's body, as though he were covered in scars, bruises, and recently healed wounds. Lan probably doesn't notice. He's half asleep. And he probably falls right back asleep after awhile Fletcher wakes up as soon as the first sliver of light peeks through the windows, as is his wont. The presence of another body in bed is at first entirely normal to him. He sits up and yawns, muttering in Talis. "Sparks and cobbles, Ar, why can't you keep your bony arms to yourself?" As he stretches and his eyes open more (instinctively careful to keep from disturbing the bed) he begins to notice the unfamiliarity of his surroundings, including the presence of Lan, and lets out a small, frightened gasp before quickly readjusting to the situation. He didn't recall Lan being there when he went to sleep... must have gotten cold or something. He could have asked first, but whatever. Fletcher slithers out of bed (again instinctively careful not to disturb the other occupant) and quietly opens his trunk, silently putting his clothes on and strapping on his knife to his belt. He looks out the glass window (a window, of all things!) and judges the morning to be somewhat cold. He fastens his cloak on as well, frowning at the singed spot. Water and soot would be helpful, but he sees no such thing to finish up his morning routine, so he quietly exits the room, careful to make not a sound.

Small mews and whines come from him as he wiggles in the bed. The pink strap of his nightgown slides down his freckled shoulder. As the soft light of morning hit his face you could swear he was an angel sent from above. (Writting this makes me sick) It would seem that Lan was used to sleeping in, or he was exhausted from the long trip to the school. Who knows? But he does not wake as Fletcher gets dressed and leaves.

Lan walks back into the room and sits down on his bed and eats in silence. A few tears roll down his cheeks. Stupid people. Stupid Aryteneus. Stupid stupid stupid

Theros pops his head in to see if anyone is home, and then heads off.

Lan walks in and sits at his desk, slamming his head down. Idiot. You should've asked if he was okay. Not cling to him like a scared girl. He frowns at that and lightly touches his chest before slamming his head down again

"I thought you were with the others."

I... I upset you and... Embarrassed myself so... I... I just wanted to leave... Maybe do my school work..."
