"Oh uh, you know, like friend or pal. I mean I'd like to think that this place is going to be a new start for us. Where our old lives don't matter anymore. If it wasn't so great back home, who needs em you're better off without em anyway!" She seems to be shaking a bit. She halts, slaps her cheeks a bit and grins a little sheepishly. |

Lan walks in pissed at the world and sits down to do his work. Screw everything.
