"I will finish separating the finished products later with magic so we don't lose any of the gold. And don't try to take any, the clear liquid is still corrosive!"

If he does it too fast the liquid would start to bubble and droplets of the acid would pop out onto whoever is closest burning into any exposed skin and eating little holes in your clothes.
