"Uh, sure if you really want." He takes the glass to a little back room where there's a pail of water, soap, and cloths that he proceeds to use to wash out the glassware.

"Never cleaned at all?" He looks surprised and hands Lan a flask. "Rinse it with some water first, then add some soap, swirl it until its sudsy, then scrub and rinse again. It's not too tough."

"In my country, a king or a chief cannot ask his men to do anything he himself will not do or will not attempt. If our king tells us to kill a bear, he himself has done it or at the very least will stand next to us during the attempt. It's different elsewhere I guess."
