This is a large half circle, lecture hall with a table in the center, and a chalkboard. There is a small device made up of a number of small silver balls hanging from strings in a row, and there are a number of confusing diagrams on the board.

Aryteneus enters after his Geometry class and sits off to the side, but still near the front.

About ten minutes after class is supposed to start, Vita Dracmere scrambles back into the class and begins to rant about physics. Aryteneus struggles from smacking his head against the desk.

Vita left the class midway through while they were writing formulas and rushes back in now. She rambles off a little more on physics before giving the students a problem to solve. She then rushes back out.

She then rushes back out. Vita rushes back in, looking a bit sad. She erases the board and writes out everyone's homework assignment for introduction to natural laws before dismissing them ten minutes early.
"First exam next week...see me after class if you can't keep up."
Aryteneus writes down the problems with a groan before excitedly grabbing his things for military history!

"Bye Lan! How was Geometry? I'm off for military history!" "Awful... Have fun." Lan smiles warmly, feeling a bit better seeing the little redhead. He enters the class and stops dead seeing the teacher. He forces a smile. "We meet again, ma'am. Fate is very cru-odd today isn't it?"

He enters the class and stops dead seeing the teacher. He forces a smile. "We meet again, ma'am. Fate is very cru-odd today isn't it?" "The universe does have an odd way of working. It must mean you are meant to learn something from me." She smiles cheerfully as she begins to write on the board. "For those of you who do not know, I am Vita Dracmere something something - loosely related to Drakas. Lan, dear, sit in the front row so I can keep an eye on you and make sure you get the attention you need. We're going to go over some basic things in today's class. We do have to focus on some mathematical review - predominantly geometry and trigonometry. I recognize some of you may not have a strong foundation in these areas, but I feel that the best way to learn is to completely immerse yourself in the subject matter! It's like learning how to swim! You get shoved off the boat and either drown or float. Floating involves a concept known as buoyancy - which we will cover more in depth after our mathematical review. It's really fascinating though - it's why a ship can float despite being of a heavier value than water...I digress."
She pushes her glasses back into place, looking at Lan and taking a deep breath as though a reminder to pause. With that one breath she proceeds.
"So what is physics? What are natural laws? THe natural laws that guide our universe differ tremendously than those you will hear touted in your religious class. Did Cashemar create gravity? Did the ancestors involve themselves in fluid dynamics? Who can say? Metaphysics is really not my area of expertise, but I will say that science can reveal all. Physics has multiple different branches - acoustics, optics, electromagnetism, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, mechanics, and more! Here are five math problems I want you to write down as examples - then we will move on to vectors! Questions??"

Though his brow twitches at his annoyance.

"That was hardly a question." She steps away from the board, studies problem four, and then nods her head in the affirmative. "There is a proper answer. Remember that sin is the cosine over tangent? Exchange x and y here and there, and then you should be on the right track!"
