I confess I was only joking. I mean I wouldn't hold you to that." "I was thinking a lot over the weekend." She frowns. "I rather not have to rule and keep pretending to be someone I'm not when my father is six feet under. I want to be me. A woman. And with me having power and as long as I keep some sort of alliances, I'll be able to hold my position as a woman." She eyes him carefully. "Then I'll be able to aid you as my husband to reclaim your homeland in anyway I can. I have many sisters I can marry off to get even more alliances in my hand. For now I'll play this prince my father wants me to play but since I have you to help me grow into a... 'More capable prince'. So... Until then... I'll be offering you my hand once I'm in power." |
