Ok cool. Also Kai would have quizzed all of you about your friends before becoming an assassin apprentice. He'd have talked about friends back home in a general sense and about five in particular. Dai, Xenni, Andre, Gio, and Zoe. They were also slaves in the same town as him. Sometimes they got him out of trouble and sometimes he got them out of trouble. His perpetual smile falters for just a moment, almost imperceptibly, and he takes a seat on a nearby rock. Everything was still very new to him, and Orthos wasn't much for asking such things. "I ran with the best, ei. Vipers, we were. Twelve of us, most days. Too many to list, but we are family. Ta ishta. Altiro and my little mouse. Dead now," He takes a deep breath, "They were the best, I tell you. They had a run of bad luck. Iliaveshvara. Daemons. Toen," He chuckles, "You could not well face them all alive. Faster, stronger, fiercer, and all obedient. The perfect crew, ei." (I was under the impression this thread was to be a series of disconnected incidents establishing bonds between students, which is why I am hopping aroud the timeline.) (That is correct. Feel free to jump.)

Virgil seems normal enough. Friendly in a standoffish way. obviously devoted to his god and a dislike towards mages and their sympathizers. easily spotted in a crowd due to his blond hair that is nearly white. It is probably hard to look him in the eye due to the fact he has mastered the art of looking straight through to your soul. (not literally but it sure feels like it.) any time people get injured he is first on scene and can manage anything from patching up a scrape to stitching up and setting a compound fracture with a bit of help from his mentor. Treats the other mentors with respect. enjoys more intellectual games despite seeming more strong than smart. If not engaged in more important matters he is always reading something new or practicing his magic. you would know he had a formal education in Goldport but something happened that he refuses to talk about, may have involved a girl.
edit/note: he seems to be more twitchy and distrustful of others as the start of the game approaches.

So.... Dislikes mages yet is one himself? Or when you say magic is it street performance magic?

So.... Dislikes mages yet is one himself? Or when you say magic is it street performance magic? I despise mages and hope to redeem the fact that I am one by taking this heathen power and turning it upon those who use it. Once all the mages are dead I can then end my crusade by killing the only one left, me, through overdrawing on a spell that will seal away magic for good. Ushering in an age of peace where all walk in the light and none use obscene powers to further selfish goals!

One group would have gotten me, I think, but that's when Master Orthos found me. Bah." He smiles mirthlessly, "I still remember how their blood felt running down my skin. Ei... they paid neit a neit. Life for a life. 11 heads..."

Viasio raps at the door to Virgil's room, uncomfortable in a space with no convenient climbable objects. He compensates for this unforgivable oversight on the part of the interior decorator by propping himself against the wall in a strange lounge that looks difficult to maintain.

Virgil opens the door just a bit before seeing it is Viasio and opens it the rest of the way. his room is neat (mostly because there is next to nothing in it) and Virgil himself looks a bit like death warmed over. "What's up Sio? Someone need patching up again or are you here to ask another million questions that will test the limits of my patience?"

You know how I love to bother you, ha! I was wondering about the most effective way to silence someone while slitting their throat. They gurgle too much with the garotte. Ira kesar mareni, ey?" He laughs.

No, Don't answer that, the reason they gurgle is because you aren't managing to cut off their air supply completely. if they cant breathe they cant make much sound. this is a problem though because too little pressure they can still breathe. enough and you cut the esophagus and while they drown in their own blood and you get the gurgle. don't really have a practical answer for you right now."

He's mildly terrified of him, though not enough to habitually take a hit Ok cool. He ponders for awhile and then sighs in mild annoyance. "I suppose I just had mother and father."

I didn't ever have a mother or father. What were your mother and father like?"
