There are a variety of inns, pubs, whore houses, and other unsavory hangouts within the city.
Of the taverns, the one of the more popular spots is a pub called the Hanging Heretic where it is said an assassin can be hired for a fair price and a maiden bought for a bronze. There are a few lesser known locations. The Black Clover has the darkest reputation - one should not travel there unless capable of handling themselves.
There is a well known brothel in the area marked merely by a golden cat on the wall. The building itself is run down, but at night there is plenty of laughter and lights in addition to an intoxicating aroma that lingers through the streets.
Declare aspects or ask questions regarding the area you would look into for more details.

The plan for the Hanging Heretic is to ask around disguised as a regular patron and a bar wench. Rose should try to get hired at the Heretic, gain the trust of the owners and regular patrons. Give her two days to do that. Ban will show up after, also in disguise and ask around.
Things to try to figure out: What's the news about Nacoth? Do any of his friends or family or servants frequent this place? How regularly? And any other questions that we find useful at the time.
Aspect: tipsy patrons ??

Disguises for the golden cat will be something else, not sure what yet, but that we'd be attacking that together. Maybe Ban poses as bringing Rose as a prostitute? Or they could be patrons, she's his daughter who has to wait outside, and she could sneak off and talk to people behind the scenes as a kid. And tough guy disguises for the Clover. |

Rose is hired right on sight. They seem to like the fact she is from the north and is rather charming. She is set to work helping clear tables and take orders.
Ban is also hired although they seem a bit less enthused about him. He helps clears tables and the cooks often require him for carrying heavy items and such.
You overhear a variety of rumors in the city. Apparently a noble or two has disappeared lately. There was a priest from the Cashemerian church who appeared s few weeks ago and made quite a spectacle before being ousted or worse...
