You find a nasty dirty alley on the south side of town that is devoid of life minus a starving cat pilfering through trash. It's dark, and the clouds have rolled over the moon.

Kai runs stumbling through the streets, tears dry now. He makes sure the others are following. (notice 3)
Once in alley, he sets Virgil down gently as he can.

Rose follows (hopefully she managed to grab the other boys). She lets out a stressed cry, curling up into a ball and holding her head. She didn't want to be in this situation again. This was way too familiar

Best bet would be to remove the dagger and prevent bleeding, then clean the wound and potentially sew it shut - maybe a little shunt to help it drain (but you've only really read about that once). Probability of living: 74% barring no additional infections or fevers. Painful? Yes, recovery time? A few months and strength training to rebuild the muscles there. |

Nanaris comes walking behind Sio, covered in blood. Viasio does not have a fleck of blood on him and has taken not a single scratch.

Then he puts the dagger in his belt. Abrus springs into action carefully sterilizing the wound and applying a healing salve. Good thing he landed on his back, or else his supplies would have been ruined. "One of you needs to find a needle and wire thread." |
