Virgil - the house remains oddly quiet. Up close you can tell the door is fairly thick and heavy; you could potentially pick the lock, but it may take some time, ad it shouldn't be a surprise if there are additional bars from within. How sturdy do the shutters look. Stout wood or actual iron? |

The door seems to absorb most of the spell, but there's also a horrendous cracking sound as your magic causes the wood to split. There are three people passing by who duck for cover from the loud sound, a woman screeching in surprise. |
