She throws open the door and asks very loudly, "Is THIS Theoradical Sorcery?!"

She tugs Conrad in slightly so he can take a look in the room.

About eighty or so kids turn to look at you. Turn to stare. Thassos is standing at the head of the class. "Yes come in Burnadette!"

Fletcher walks in quietly shortly after she bursts in and takes a seat near the back of class, wondering how on earth it can be efficient to teach this many people at once.

Conrad detaches himself from burn and sits next to Fletcher and gestures for burn to sit next to him. He also apologises to Thassos and the class in general for his overly enthusiastic friend.

Some of the kids laugh but thassos is able to restore order.
"Now you three we've been going around the room and sharing some of our first experiences with magic. You don't have to say anything but you can share a story if you wish"

"It hurt so bad then but I think it was worth it."

Conrad looks interested. She turns to Conrad and talks a bit quieter. "I guess it helped me understand why I never quite got along with my family and my village. They thought my energy and my attachment to flames was weird and I was kinda on my own. When I found out how the flame in my heart could be transferred out of my body to I felt right I guess." She looks down a bit embarrassed but still smiling. "I know I can't control it very well yet and it hurts me most of the time, but without it I'm a worthless no good kid who played with matches and knives... At least that's what most adults would have you think."

I'll tell you the true version of my story after class" he then turns to Thassos, "can I tell my tale next?"

I was sailing on the open seas with my fathers crew when we came under attack by another ship. Through sheer luck and the virtue of magic I was the only crew member spared. All it took was launching one of the enemy crew nearly over the horizon to get them to back off and leave me alone," concluding with a short laugh Conrad gives a bow.

Fletcher looks at Conrad warily. At least it wasn't a bunch of uncontrolled fireballs. Burn was quite enough of that, thank you very much.
