A cold north wind blows over the sea heralding the approaching storm. Heavy waves crash into the docks causing the weaker ones to shudder. All are quiet but one small pier where a group of ten or fifteen children are waiting, half asleep, and most shivering in the cold morning air. On the horizon the giant crystal tower shimmers with a subtle green light showing the silhouette of a ferry making it's way across the waves towards their pier.

Aryteneus is standing on the very edge of the pier, quietly waiting for the ferry to come in. He takes note of the other children, but doesn't directly address them.

Conrad is nervously tapping out the tempo of a rowing shanty as he hums to himself.

Bernadette groggily rubs the sleep out of her eyes stretching and making noises of discomfort. After stretching she eyes the other children, grinning as she does so. So many friends to make!

Fletcher pulls his hood up and quietly walks over to the pier, standing off a bit and listening to the rhythm of the strange humming boy. He stands silent as a statue, examining the incoming ferry with curious eyes.

I approach the hooded one, "hey! what's your name?"

I approach the hooded one, "hey! what's your name?" Fletcher starts at the sudden noise and turns cautiously, taking a step back in the same motion. He blinks. "Ah... Fletcher. The name is Fletcher. You?"

"I'm Theros! Are you going to the mage school?" I smile broadly. "That... yes, that is what I was hoping. I don't know if they will take me." "I'm going there too!" With much friendly vigor, I punch Fletcher in the face. (Rolled a 2 in martial arts and a 2 in strength to try to hit him hard but not with intent to maim)

Theros' jab hits Fletcher in the cheek. Many of the other children run over to see what is going on, someone even starts chanting "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Fletcher stumbles back a step, taken completely off guard, and reaches a hand out to steady himself, leaning on the long cudgel with three large iron spikes driven through the head that had previously been concealed beneath his cloak.
He straightens and rubs his cheek. That hurt more than jabs and bumps usually do. He narrows his eyes at the boy.
"What did I do to you?"

"Nope! You've done nothing against me!" Theros still maintains a fighting stance, an amiable grin glowing on his face. "I just want to see if you'll be a good friend!"
(Would Theros have noticed said cudgel, or did it remain in the cloak?)

(It's not obvuious though if he was perceptive he may have noticed it when he stumbled back. Make an ob 2 perception roll)
