"A hole was made in the barrier of the heavens allowing Cashemar's light and life to flow upon the earth and take root." - the Book of Creation 1:12
The sun rises the next morning quickly chasing away the night fog. Two small fluffy clouds can be seen to the west, but otherwise the sky is a deep blue ocean. On the southern portion of the island the gulls seem to be making quite a ruckus, and from the north near the graveyard, a plume of smoke rises for around half an hour before dwindling to nothing. The feint smell of burning flesh and hair is on the air though it dies down almost immediately.
The talk around the school is all about how three students supposedly snuck into the tower the other day. No one seems to know how they did it or who did it exactly. The rest is talk of the ball approaching in a few weeks. The nobles are all preparing and gossiping about who will go with who, and the small groups of common folk seem to be quickly learning about what a ball actually is.
