Entering the Main hall there are six huge round tables lined two by three in the middle of the room and two smaller ones at the ends. On the one closest to you there is a large bowl of some sweet smelling drink, and plates of fruit and cheese and various dried and cured meats. There are warm loaves of bread too and small olives and even something only the noble characters would recognize as chocolates, and candied peaches. The arched doorways at both ends of the room appear to be held up by silver and gold gryphons, and the wood itself is carved with designs of fire and lightning. Above three large chandeliers hang two silver and one gold. Instead of candles they have small crystals all giving off a very natural light. The walls themselves depict paintings of famous mages, most of which would only be recognizable to the imperials.

Surprised, Theros walks over to Ary, pocketing the dagger. "I didn't even have to use magic..." He whispers to Ary.

"Yeah... I don't even know where to begin with using magic." He eyes the unfamiliar foods, swinging one leg over a bench.

"They sent me here when my hair started smoking and when I blew up that kid's hand. I wish I didn't have to come here but grandma said I must." He cautiously picks up something he saw Ary eating, and puts it in his mouth.

With a surprised face, Theros spits the candy right back out at Ary. "That food is gross!" He reaches for some bread as an excuse not to reply.

Theros laughs. "Manners? What are you, my grandma? I've never met a child like you."

He emphasizes his points by gesturing with a piece of crust. "You don't act like a child! You're a stuck-up prick! What do children need manners for? But look," he pushes Ary's shoulder, "You aren't all bad. You actually have some control over magic, and I wish I could control it like that. How do you do it?"

He looks annoyed that Theros keeps trying to push or punch him. "Practice and focus."

"It's difficult to describe. It's like exerting your will. You want something so much it happens. You're manipulating the natural energies around. Circles can help you focus and draw energies to you."
