Rose will walk back when she's sure they are done talking about what happened. She eyes Caerus a moment before looking at the boys, especially Kai. She waits to speak up when she figures out what they are talking about now

I was desperate to protect my family, and I would be damned if circumstances swept me under. It seemed the best option to me at the time. In reflection I find that I believe in our principles and the ideal that we can balance the inequality set forth by centuries of manipulative oligarchic practices and rule - that by the elimination of one life we can preserve a hundred more and act as a vanguard for progressive thought and creativity." |
