"You're a bit young and... It's a bit personally." "I'm not young! I'm thirteen!" (A claim that would seem ridiculous on account of his small size.)

He pushes her hand aside. "Don't call me a lamb." He eats some more before asking, "did Lask ever tell you the story of how he lost his eye?"

Abrus - the savoury smell is nauseating to your vegetarian sensibilities. Virgil for once lets Arbus eat in peace instead of actively trying to irritate the little herbivore.

She suddenly looks sick. "A-Aye... He did. Why?" "I always wondered about it. Can you tell me the story he told you?" She looks extremely uncomfortable but nods. (pretend her accent is there. Toooooooo lazy to change all the spelling (030)_/` ) "He was a young apprentice at the time. He went off on his own after having a fight with his mentor. Lask joined a pirate crew and set to the sea for months. He became close with the captain and the crew. He considered it a second family. Thought he could live out at sea forever and never return to the nightblades. Sadly some dreams come crashing down. It was the eye before the storm... The moon was full and lit their way through the darkness, the waves were calm, and the wind strong. Lask was with the captain sharing a drink, enjoying each others company and conversation. It happened quite fast. The ship rocked violently and a loud crack and boom. They toppled over as much as everything else on the ship. They could hear the crew crying out and more explosions happened. Lask blacked out then. He had hit his head but was only out for a moment. A moment that was too long. He managed to get up and rush out on deck to see most of the men falling to the enemy. Lask was in shock and hesitated way too long. He was sliced in the side, which woke him up. Luckily from the little training he received from his mentor helped him to kill the man and take his sword. He went in and fought with his crew even though they were dying off quick. Lask kept at it, until... Until he saw his captain fall. A fire built up inside of him and he blindly went mad with anger and started swinging his sword wildly. He was a mad man. He lost all control and didn't realize how badly he was getting hurt or how he lost all vision in one eye. It wasn't until all were dead did he wake up that he felt all the pain and collapsed. From what he could see that his enemy was defeated and so was his crew. His family. It was surprising he managed to even surprise. He claimed that he would've died there on the ship if it weren't for a trading ship that was traveling by and got curious. Lask returned to his mentor once he was healed. He was lucky then too that his mentor even took him back." Rose stops and inhales sharply. "Sorry I couldn't tell the story all that well... Lask would've told it better..."

Viasio takes to the corner of the room with the best view of both the door and window, opting not to climb on the likely precarious curtain rod. He thanks Caerus when food is brought, seeming genuinely surprised, and devours his food ravenously, stuffing himself full. Eat when you can and where you can, Viso dear. You never know where your next meal will come from.He listens carefully to Rose's story, eyeing her strangely.

You also notice Abrus is only picking at his food. There's a large pot where there is a little leftover stew and a basket full of little delicious bread loaves. Onions, garlic, and other garnishes are about along with some vegetables such as carrots and radishes.
