Later in the evening in a private room of the church the Nightbaldes gather to plan the assassination. The students may or may not be here depending on if the mentors allow it. Though just because they aren't invited doesn't mean they won't be eavesdropping. Tychon is still not back.

Lask will allow Rose to be there. She has every right to know what's going on. As for her saying anything as they discuss the plan, he's quite against it.

There would be no keeping Kai out unless something more exciting were happening elsewhere. Kai perches on a chair, fidgeting and playing with his clothes and peering around the room. Ban paces as he thinks and speaks.

Sio has not been allowed in the room, but Orthos expects him to find out all the details. If he is seen or heard, Orthos will calmly say 'Punch the wall,' which will be followed by a thump somewhere around the room.

"I find it unwise to use the children as bait, Ban..." Lask watches him pace. "We shouldn't be risking them on such a mission. We are trying to rebuild the order. Not have it knocked down and having to start all over again. I'm not saying that they don't have any talent, but a years worth of training isn't enough to have them right under a powerful mage's nose."
Rose glances over at Lask quietly listening.

"We are starting all over again, you have to be willing to take a few risks, Lask.""Yeah! A few risks sounds awesome!!""That said, I agree that it's not ideal to send apprentices as bait, but if you're going to send anyone, they'd be the best at getting back out of it. There are probably other plans besides the bait one anyway, and if we find a better one, then we shall go with that.""Aw...""And if we don't, Kai is perfectly capable of handling himself."

While I dislike the idea if we go for bait Virgil is our best option as saying he is already learning and capable. Not to mention he has been all but begging for an opportunity like this.

"I call bullshit on that. That loose mouth crack will spill out everything if we sent him." Lask snorts, looking annoyed. "I want a plan that won't involve the kids to get into direct contact with these men. That's all I ask." He looks at Rose for a moment before looking back. "I say we go to where the rumors say that Orth.. Ortho... Whatever the hell is name is and watch what he does. Get a feel for him. I don't believe we should make an attack too soon. These bloody priests could be mental and we could be dealing with a simple pest at best."Rose looks quite impressed that Lask could even think that much. He must be sober.

Nanaris will be in a corner watching if invited in. If not he will be eavesdropping.

"Am not!""Enough. And you may be as sheltering and over protective as you like over your own apprentices, but I'll thank you not to govern all of us. Watching the target's behavior will be a good idea. Possibly I can explore and infiltrate anywhere he's living by going in disguise. And did you read the information?" He laughs a little, "they're not a simple pest."

Lask clenches his fists tight, glaring at Ban. He only eases up when Rose places a hand on his leg. He huffs bitterly. "Fine. Go have your kid get killed. And yeah, I read the information. But you can't always believe what you read."

Abrus sits watching the mentors quietly staring.
"Abrus is also more than capable of handling himself." She "lightly" grasps his shoulder.

Has this turned into, 'my student is more capable than yours.'? If you lot want to send your students then fine. Have at it." He sits back, arms crossed. "I still don't like the idea."

One way or the other, going to Corden would probably be a good idea. Once we know where he lives and what he's up to, we can get a better idea for a plan of attack."

Rose snuggles up to him, patting his arm as if saying, 'good job.'
(Side note: it's normal by now to see the two snuggled up together. Not in a romantic fashion. Like a child with her father.)
