"It would be hard and might make them nervous but if we could do it even the traveling lord may be there. Let's start learning about our targets while I do some research." Orthos purses his lips, musing. "Hm. The plan has its strengths, primarily that if we can eliminate them all simultaneously, we avoid a great deal of logistical issues. However, I see several issues that I cannot think of a way to surmount. First and foremost, the Lord Ironwood is not on the contract. We will not kill him. Second, to create an upset large enough to force the Lords to gather would require a great deal of resources and would potentially ruin or end a great deal of life, and may have a decent chance to reveal our existence, if bungled. Third, any gathering of all Mage Lords together would be an immediate and obvious target to anyone opposed to their actions - meaning that they will see the threat coming and will be prepared and protected. Fourth, if for any reason we fail to eliminate them all at the same time - if there are any survivors - I daresay we'd be dealing with one or more fully alert, fully prepared, royally pissed off Lord of Mages. This is, for obvious reasons, a foe I would prefer to avoid. Fifth, as Ban indirectly points out, any event that will cause them to meet will cause them to be scared - and fear begets nervousness, paranoia. Four on-edge, paranoid mages are hardly ideal targets."
"It is an idea with merit, however. If you can think of any way to get past these issues I would love to hear them, as it would be an ideal way to dispose of them.""The risks may be too great, agreed. Sorry Kaia."

(So lets get this straight: Kai and lask and Galyn and Sio will look into the upper class here Kaia and Virgil will look into getting a cover story and an established business Orthos and Abrus will look into the tactical aspect, getting into contact with information networks, and with coordinating the rest of the group. Rose and Balaban will spend their time working the streets, and the lower class to find information.
Minimum this plan will likely take a month or more, so there is no guarantee Ostlahoth will still be in the city so you will have to assassinate him on a separate occasion.
If you agree to this there's no taking back the character pairings, and I will post a few aspects on a few of them to give advantages or disadvantages.)
