"Good. Perhaps we can sit down and review it at your leisure once we get reestablished here?" "Fine with me." "Good. Now a moment ago you seemed irritated? Was it something I said?" He smirks.

"Good. Now a moment ago you seemed irritated? Was it something I said?" He smirks. "Mostly calling the clergy idiots. They may not be very flexible but they are by no means stupid."

"I find their being obstinate almost admirable really. Their inflexibility by no means makes them smart though." He pauses, rubbing his eyes. "Nor does their position as clergy state anything other than their capacity to read, write, and recite."

Now the Mage Lords have committed endless atrocities, but their removal benefits the political ambitions of the church as much as it does the justice of mankind. Somehow that makes me question the moral guidance they preach." He shrugs. "And any idiot can parrot a predecessor. It's not difficult to claim leadership and offer guidance and support if the scaffolding has already been done for you. Regardless, we do have things to do...we could go wake them."

Since this "lounge" is still at the church, Kai might be up pestering Rolland or a priest somewhere. Rolland will be happy for the company and will probably tell stories from the cashemar books if kai will listen. When he sees Caerus is back though he will go off to see what he's up to.

If it seems that Caerus is not still busy talking to Virgil Rolland will approach (perhaps with kai in tow). "What're you reading?"

Kai would listen distractedly! He'd follow Rolland following Caerus.
