Aspects:
Shadows in the Dark
No echoes
A hidden panel at the base of the pulpits staircase leads down to a hidden inner room. The walls are cold and damp - and the room itself is large a light for sparring, training, and other large group meetings. There are torches on the wall that cast flickering shadows and a long table at the end of the room where the church elders discuss secrets. The room is guarded by a pair of knights standing halfway in the shadows. They both wear heavy plate mail, and their personal sigils seem to have been replaced by the symbol of the church, the sun rising behind a old tower.
Here is where the mentors are lead to discuss contracts best heard out of reach from the upper level. There are two men at the table - an older bald man with a fraying beard and blue eyes and a younger, taller man with dark hair and a goatee. The older man is as generous and as polite as the younger is irritable. They have pages of contract laying out on the table, as well as wine and some food on a separate table.

Lask is at the table with a cup of wine in one hand and bread, if they have any, in another. His feet are kicked up onto the table and he balances himself on the two hind legs of the chair. He nibbles at the bread with a bored expression.

"The compensation is just adequate given the job. Can we go over the details one more time just to put my mind at ease?" |

They've ruled in the north for some time, and their...practices are quite contrary to our church's teachings. We were hoping you could eliminate them within the year. We will provide any supplies or additional funding you require. You are welcome within these walls for the duration of the contract. We ask that both brothers be eliminated discreetly. We do not want it traced here and will openly deny any involvement if that becomes the case. We also wish to tentatively employ you for two additional contracts upon completion of the first." |
